1. I ran Trend Housecall a few time on different date and time. While running after a period of time, my browser will shut down on its own without completing the scanning. Why is this?
Is it trying to send me a signal that my laptop is infected by virus and housecall is unable to proceed or solve it?
2. I also have avast installed. How do I get it to scan my whole PC?

Right click the blue Avast "A-Ball" icon and choose Start avast! antivirus. Let it run the memory test (about 2 minutes) then when the Simple User Interface opens, check-mark:
Local Hard Discs
Test archives
then move the slider to "Through"
then click Start Scan.
