i know my computer is infected by a virus or a spyware. i'm quite annoyed by this file which also has a folder icon. it has the same file name with the folder where it is located.
ex. C:\Personal Folder (normal folder)
C:\Personal Folder\Personal Folder.exe (virus)
how do i get rid of this? my avast anti-virus deletes the virus/spywares but after a few days, it just keep coming back. how do i permanently get rid of it?

Hey guess its has been stored in tat path... try to find it and stop it frm the task manager if u find that is popin-up.... and try do this online virus test no: http://housecall65.trendmicro.com/ and one more thing avast is not tat good comparatively so try download AVG antivirus... jus type download avg antivirus in google and download antivirus for windows and nothing other than that...or else try download SPYBOT and run that to ur compt... im damn sure its a superb software to take off the spywre and virus frm the computer and its all free of cost oly.....

Turn off system restore, THEN remove it.
If your virus protection can not get rid of the same virus you need a new anti-virus software because obvioulsy the one you have is ineffectve.
