Keylogger coming up as virus?

i have Avast antivirus, and i tried downloading a keylogger, but every time i do, it says its a virus and tells me to delete it. Im fairly sure its from a respectable company, and from a good site, but i have been told that some keyloggers can work like viruses, so are considered to be as such, and can set off the virus software. is this true, do you think it will be ok?

The only keylogger i know that cannot be found with any antivirus is KeyProwler.

KeyProwler is undetectable by All Major anti viruses and Spyware. KeyProwler is the one i use it has Award Winning Email and Phone Tech support.

I like KeyProwler a lot because it is very simple to use and not overly complicated like the other keylogging software.

here is the address : http://www.keyprowler.com

Try All In One Keylogger from here:

just about any keylogger will be seen as a virus by anti-virus software.

keyloggers can be remotely installed on systems and hidden so users do not know they are there. So AV software will check for them.
For the most part, yes a keylogger would trigger your anti-virus to go off. Just in case, make sure the keylogger you are going to run is from a trusted source.
