Disturbing amount of access attempts?

On the main page of my ZoneAlarm firewall, it says "The firewall has blocked 44,267 access attempts." and I've only had it installed for about two months. Is this normal or am I a popular target for hackers? And just so you know, I have avast!, Spybot, CCleaner and AdAware installed and up to date as well.

you need to chk those ips! copy the ip %26 go to this site http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm %26 trace it

if its from china or something then it have to be port scanners running most of the case %26it shows your firewall is working good! as those amounts are normal in fact much less on a dial up connection!

also go here and check if you have any open ports still?

Yea, Zonealarm blocks even the tiniest attempt of access to your computer unless you specifically let a program access the internet or let something through the firewall. It also depends on how much you surf or use the internet. The more you use the internet and surf more sites, the more likely that number of blocked access attempts go up. It's just to let you know that the firewall is working to block things, good or bad, from the internet.
You're lucky, mines up to 200,000. Zone Alarm is supposed to stop these intrusions as long as you have the settings right, imagine if you didn't have Zone Alarm.
Normal. Especially if you use a P2P file-stealing program such as Limewire.
What type of internet connection do you use? If it's cable, this is fairly normal as your high speed cable connection is shared bandwidth and many times harmless data is detected by firewall programs.
