Should i install McAfee siteadvisor?

I want to know if a site is virus/trojan before i go on it, so if i download Mcafee siteadvisor, would it be worth it? Will it work with firefox? And also, does it slow down your computer and conflict with my avast! anti-virus?

Thanks

Should i install McAfee siteadvisor?virus protection software

Should i install McAfee siteadvisor - YES

would it be worth it - YES

Will it work with firefox - YES

does it slow down your computer and conflict with my avast! anti-virus? NO

Also download Comodo Boclean.
I have it installed as an add-on to my Firefox. You have nothing to worry about, it will work great. It won't slow your computer down or conflict with your anti-virus. I really like it because it is a good indicator when I am going on a malicious site.
i use macafee and finjan in fire fox they dont slow you down and there is no conflict with any other security program but i sugest you put adblocker plus and noscript in as well at the bottom of the firefox screen you will have a bar with macafee on and the word options you can set sites with this to run normally. macafee is only an advisory service based on what people tell them so if a rouge program is installed on top of a safe site noscript will stop it macafee wont
I wouldn't but then i tend to know where i visit, i use AVG, with Ad-Aware 2007 Free and CCleaner, i have not had a virus in approx 8-10 years, if you download from a site just make sure you scan .exe, the chances of embeded virus's is slime to none, just be aware of where you download from and there is no need to tell a third party what you are doing.

As mentioned above use Adblock Plus https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...

While i'm @ it will give you list of usefull add-ons for Firefox

Fasterfox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox... Network tweak.

IE TAB https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...

View websites that don't display in Firefox properly.

Speed Dial https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox... just like Opera.

Hope this helps.
