this is pissing me off so much!! im using mozilla because my internet privacy settings automatically go to accept all cookies. i tried avg anti-spyware and avast scanning also in safe mode but i still get pop ups from internet when i use mozilla.

use a lot of virus scanners or something or you might have a trojan horse, ask someone who knows a lot about the internet/mozilla firefox.

They may be pop-unders, flash pop-up's, javascript pop-up/unders... which you have to train firefox/mozilla to block as well.
Now, do you run the Mozilla browser or the Firefox browser. There is a difference.

You'll need to learn how to go into the about:config and set these values so you don't get this anymore.
Get rid of avast, and use AVG Freefor ant-virus. Use Spybot Search %26 Destroy for spyware and AdAware for adware.
your pop up block might be off so change it to on
you might have a virus that is beyond help... i don't know what to tell you hopefully someone know for about firefox than I do, I'm pretty new to it
My best advice is to use internet explorer 7 the updated one. It has a pop up blocker really good, blocks everything even clicks you do that open new windows, and for more security it comes with phishing filter.
