i had bit torrent a long time ago and it really messed up my computer but i think it did because i left it on all day night but now i want to get it again but be more careful so if i had bittorrent and i was downloading something with a virus on it would my avast anti virus protect me from it

I've had Bit Comet up for over 5 weeks now, no problems...yes, your anti-malware software wil pick up on anything you download, whether it's torrent, ftp, telnet, etc. :)

Yes, i use avast and it catches everything!!! no problems with u torrent. knock yourself out.
