I recently put AVG 8 on my computer and it deleted most of of my pirated software -- Mostly the activations files for Windows XP and Vista. My Question is -- is it calling these files Malaware because: A. It is a program that is made to hack Microsoft software, or B. It truly has a Virus embedded in it. I have never had a virus that I was aware of, and my firewall -- COMODO is not blocking anything, incoming or outgoing, when I use these hacks.
None of my other virus scan programs -- Avast or ClamWin recognize these as viruses or malaware. Windows Defender does not flag them either.
My technical understanding of Windows is high to very high, so I'm looking for a Guru who understands the code to answer here, not just speculation from a casual user.
Does AVG 8 Return False Positives on Pirated Software?house call
