Is there an easy to use and effective free download for an anti virus, worm, trojan scanner and remo

I didn't like Avast or avg. There has to be something. I want to just be able to click on it to scan and not have the program running in the background all the time.

There are tons of free virus scanners, but the remover tool is what cost you.

I just want a free download that will detect and remove viruses, worms, trojans, spyware, adware, all of it.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

The problem in what you are asking is how would it be possible for these security programs to protect you if you don't allow them to run all the time? These HAVE to be running in order to offer their protection capabilities.
