one day i started my comp and went online - all of a sudden music and radio commercials started playing - i thought it may have been yahoo add-ons, but closed that that everythign still played.. i unplugged the connection and exited everything, then plugged my ethernet back in, and the music soon began playing again - im very certain there is some sort of virus on my computer because it has been acting very sluggish lately, and it requires many restarts during the day, along with this ghost music (which is getting annoying while typing this!) - is there any free INTENSE virus removal? i already have Avast! and Windows Defender, but they dont seem to do much..

You may want to try these freeware programs that have and currently are working well for me.
Antivirus : Avira antivir
Spyware : Spywareterminator
Browser : Avant
Google them for your own research.
Install them and you shouldn't have anymore problems. Good Luck!!

Ad-aware 2007
Spybot Search %26 Destroy
AVG Antispyware
here's an intense viruse removal, it's called reformat your hard drive.
