Whats so bad about wanting to reformat a completely crap and slow computer running xp?

my boy friend bought it new with xp on he has no discs so im thinking of buying xp to start all over again, what do you reckon? is it worth it ?or not? at the min it takes half an hour to even get a blue sky let aloan the rest of the icons when i start up.I dont no what else to do ive run avast and got rid of viruses it was full.......... and ive deleated most programs????????

Nothing at all. It's unfortunate you didn't get factory restore disks, though.
there's absolutely nothing wrong with doing that, provided you've backed up any documents on the machine before you do it.
