File missing?

my system was affected by a virus called brontek



and i removed it using avast antivirus



but now when windows loading, one file is found missing 'c:\windows\keesengansosial.exe' and it takes long time to load windows(XP) what would i do to rectify this problem,please help me..

That file is most likely another piece of spyware trying to load.



You should visit a site like TrendMicro.com and run their free HouseCall scan and removal tool. This has a good chance of removing any remaining traces of spyware / viruses.

Brontok AKA RontokBro virus is from Indonesia and I've seen this virus infected on a computer before and it prevents you from running Registry Editor. Most obvious way to know that you've been infected by Brontok virus is when your computer starts up, you'll get an error messsage saying that it is unable to locate the file "Kesenjangan Sosial.exe".
