NO, the SVCHOST.EXE is a normal and essential windows process. It acts a a host for a collection of vital services that run on your computer. Its designed for efficiency by taking many process and running them under a single executive process. You may have multiple one running due to multiple groups of processes running. You should not delete this process. However, you can limit the need for it to load by cutting down on the number of programs and processes your computer needs. Hope this helps!
