Hell i have avast! anti virus home free edition. It seems today i caught a VME worm virus and i could not delete, repair, whatsoever.... I highly recommend purchasing antivirus / firewall combo from a RELIABLE vendor... configuring it properly... and have it set to automatically update...

There's a reason all the people using free software are the ones saying they are infected all through this site.

For now.. you can do a scan / removal from trendmicro's website:

Hopefully, it will detect and remove the worm.. it takes a long time to run but should do the trick. If not, you may be looking at either a system restore to an older time when you were not infected which means you would lose all data since then.. or you may be looking at completely reinstalling everything on a formatted system. It's really worth the minimal price you pay for yearly subscriptions...

Without proper software that is properly configured and properly updating with common sense and security awareness.. you are wide open to this happening.
