Vcmon.exe virus help please?

This file will not go away and I can't find it anywhere on my pc yet it is in task manager, whenever I end process it just comes back straightaway. My firewall keeps stopping it form connecting it to the interent.

I have got rid of a trojan that I had and it was still there so I went into safe mode and got rid of system restore then did a full virus scan in safe mode but found nothing. I am using avast and zone alram.

I thought vcmon had something to do with either zonealarm or norton?
That might not be a virus at all. Still, there is another free anti-virus, AOL Active Virus Shield, which has a better detection rate than Avast. You could try it. :-)

Delete vcmon.exe from your pc, which probably lies in C://windows/system32

If you can not delete it delete it from safe mode. To boot in safe mode restart computer and press F8 before it restarts.

Then delete all occurence of vcmon.exe from regestry. To do it press start menu%26gt;Run then write regedit.exe and press enter.

Then serach for vcmon.exe and delete if you find any result. Then search again and delete untill search produces no more result.

Look,,, not all antiviruses detect all viruses,,, I got the same problem,, with another trojan which generate an .exe file named Exmodul32f.i.exe,,,, AVG did not recognize it ,,, but bitdefender recognize it,, and I choose the option to delete the infected files,, however,, the excuted program remains on action for several days,,and I deleted them manually,,, they most often in the temporary file folder,,, you have to make all folders and files not hidden to reach this folder,,, you have to scan several times,, to ensure complete clear of your pc
Is the virus named on the application list of your firewall log? If it is attempt to delete it there. When it deletes go to safe mode, and go to START-search-files %26 folders-type in .exe (or vcmon.exe) for the date of Dec. 14th, 2006 (go to files created on) the file name will pop up there. Delete it again if it shows up on the file %26 folders log.
