Hi, I suddenly am not able to see the content of most of my emails. When I open them they are blank.

If I open them on my work computer then I can read them. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? I installed a new antivirus programme, Avast, shortly before this problem started but even when I have turned it off the problem remains. Please help!!

IE 7 Beta 3 will not open after installing?

I installed IE 7 Beta 3 but if I try to open it it flashes like it is blocked.

Before I installed it I closed Avast, Spyware and Firewall.

I had IE 6 and did not uninstall that. If I go to "My Favorites" I can open any site without a problem. After uninstalling IE 7 I can open IE 6 again without any problem. I use XP Pro with service pack 2. What went wrong ?

I HAVE A VIRUS and I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! PLEASE HELP!!?free antivirus download

use the following.. they are all free to download:

AVG Anti virus

AVG Anti Spyware

Adware

Spybot

a-squared

CCleaner
I have used Trend Micro's free online scanner. It takes awhle to scan, but it should remove your virus/spyware.
YOU DO NOT HAVE A VIRUS.

You have smitfraud:

SpyShredder, or Spy-Shredder, is the successor to the rogue anti-spyware program called SpySheriff . SpyShredder is installed on your computer without your permission through the use of Trojans and other malware.

How To Remove Spyshredder Or Spy-shredder (removal Instructions):

download spybot babe :D

http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind...
Take your mouse pointer to the top of the monitor screen %26 a cross sign (X) will apper just click it %26 I'll hope that your computer will be OK.
Run advast and download Adware SP from www.download.com and if it says that you have a virus then you do and delete it.
1. Download and run firefox to protect your from future spyware attacks and pop ups which are coming in through internet explorer (Trojan downloaders, win32 ) .Then update your windows through firefox

Trojan Horse: Everytime I get connected to the internet...?

I receive a message from my antivirus (avast) that a Trojan Horse is entering my computer... Is weird 'cose I'm behind a firewall in a students residence (with an intern net). Is there any program to find out where does the Trojan Horse come from?? If it's from my own net or from a site I've been connected?

Trojan Horse: Everytime I get connected to the internet...?computer repair

Try Ad-Aware of Lavasoft. A trojan horse can be a malware. It is free and a good buddy. Go to this site: http://www.download.com/3002-8022_4-1039...

After going to that site, click software-files.download.com.

After the download, make a full scan and that program determines it. If you mixed it w/ your free antivirus then they will become powerful. I use AVG and it's a best tandem. After the scan in Ad-Aware, use your Avast and make a scan. That trojan horse is dead.

Trojan Horse: Everytime I get connected to the internet...?free antivirus

Go to superantispyware.com %26 download the free edition. It specializes in trojans.
What is the exact message you get from avast. Does it tell you which trojan horse?Do an online scan and let us know if it finds anything please mention the exact malware or trojan horse it finds
go to majorgeeks.com

download

ad-aware for spyware

avg for antivirus

they are both free

and they are the best
Go to the Avast Home Page and do a SCAN from there, and it will let you know on what to do. I have used Avast for years and they are great.

Is there any way i can stop this security toolbar 7.1 getting into my pc?free spyware remobal

You might try this remover made specifically for that product.

Also some manual removal instructions there.

http://www.adwarealert.com/glossary_deta...
I don't think you have gotten rid of it completely, because it is coming back.

You should use adaware and start a scan. Then use symantec antivirus. Run full system scans. This worked for me.
difficult this one...the security toolbar keeps coming back through your updates off microsoft and even though you think it,s gone it is one off those programs that just sit in the background..answer before about going into msconfig is good and you can try regedit or add/remove programs.I would turn off your automatic updates and get rid of your virus software and download AVGfree and scan pc using that if it is a trojan as mentioned before, confine it to vault..

2001 toshiba,windows me?

Under add and remove programs, I have tryed to unstall mcafee,I now have Avast FREE. Mcafee is so embeded in toshibas version of me.I could find the file in my computer and mabe crash things, it still shows up in run- browse.poor mcafee -I want to be rid them and their warnings-I could re install the disk under costom install, but do not know if I can exclude mcafee and its hidden components.

2001 toshiba,windows me?computer virus

If you do a clean install, you should be able to unstall Mcafee without a hitch. If it doesn't, you may be stuck with the conflicts.

ME is really not an optimal OS though. If I were you, I would run a system check on your computer to see if it could handle XP.

If it can (and it may not being 2001), I would install an upgrade of XP Home, which would run you between 100 and 200 dollars, and give you a much better OS.

I also use Avast Free on one of my laptops. I love it...simple, stays out of the way...hopefully it is doing a good job...doesn't seem to have let anything slip through yet.
